Pranks Make Life Interesting
Whether they are media pranks or performance art pieces with a
sense of humor, pranks have been a part of my life for as long as
I can remember. I'm not talking about the type of prank that reinforces
unequal power relations or is mean-spirited (like a frat hazing
ritual). I'm more interested in something that provokes thought,
or is at least funny and weird. Once I got to college, my pranks
only got bigger, and when I no longer was an undergraduate, they
didn't stop.
I have collected a few highlights of my favorite pranks. (To give
you a taste, beneath is a photo of me wearing a pig's nose and antlers
marrying 100 people to bananas in a mass wedding ceremony.)
